Participation conditions for the SWISS Holidays competition

Status: August 2019

By participating in the competition it is assumed that the participating person has reached the age of 21 years and is in possession of his or her own credit card.

Employees of holidays.ch AG, HLX Touristik GmbH and Binoli GmbH as well as their relatives are prohibited from taking part.

Participating in the competition is only possible via the SWISS Holidays website. Entries received after the participation deadline shall be excluded.

Competition participants are obliged to provide truthful and correct answers to all requested information required for the competition. Only those take part in the competition who fill out all details on the question/entry form and click the participation button to confirm their e-mail address or those who send a postcard to holidays.ch AG, Centralbahnstr. 9, 4051 Basel, Switzerland sendet.

The prize for winning the competition is a holiday for two people as described by SWISS Holidays on the competition page. We expressly state that all forms of ancillary costs, in particular costs for travelling to and from the airport of departure, the purchasing of a passport, additional costs for different board or insurance cover, are not included in the prize.

The winner will be able to book the holiday between 03.10.2019 – 31.10.2019 or 22.02.2020 – 31.03.2020. We will gladly coordinate your desired travel period with you – subject to hotel availability. We will contact you by telephone with regard to this.

Receiving a cash payment equivalent to the value of the travel voucher or combining it with other vouchers or discounts is not possible. Selling or auctioning the prize is not permitted.

By participating in the competition, the winner has already made assurances that he or she is able to go on the holiday as specifically advertised. This applies in particular to complying with all travel formalities such as vaccination and entry regulations and the purchasing of the necessary travel documents (e.g. a passport valid for at least 6 months is required).

Participants who are employed (not self-employed) have to ensure that their holiday leave for the entire travel period has been approved by their employer. SWISS Holidays shall under no circumstances be liable for any possible loss of earnings.

The winner will be chosen by a random draw of all entries and notified on the 23th of September 2019. Following the determination process, the winner will be informed solely by email. If a reply is not received within 7 days, the prize is forfeited and a replacement winner shall be decided one time only. The winner shall have no claim to amending or supplementing the respective prize.

Participating in the competition via an external competition service shall be excluded; only personal entries shall be permitted. Swiss Holidays reserves the right to exclude participants from the competition if technical manipulation is suspected. In such cases, the prize can be reclaimed retrospectively and a replacement winner named. Each participant can only win one prize regardless of whether he or she is participating alone or as part of a syndicate.

It is not possible to change, exchange or receive a cash settlement for the prize, nor is it possible to transfer the prize to a third party. The jury’s decision is final. Swiss Holidays reserves the right to suspend or terminate the competition for justified reasons that would lead to the scheduled running of the competition being disrupted or hindered.

All data shall be handled confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations by SWISS Holidays, and will be saved in connection with the competition. SWISS Holidays is entitled to pass the details of the winner onto third parties, should this be necessary for processing the holiday. Otherwise, the data protection regulations shall apply.

By participating in the raffle, the participant releases Swiss International Air Lines from all liability.

The general terms and conditions of SWISS Holidays and the tour operator holidays.ch AG shall apply. Legal recourse shall be excluded. The competition shall be subject to Swiss law.
